The great room inside CASI in Davenport was transformed today to help seniors in the Quad Cities.
Saturday, July 13th, 2013 was the 6th Annual Indoor Garage Sale at CASI, located on Kimberly Road in Davenport.
Organizers say the event is one of CASI's biggest fundraisers of the year, which they say are very important at a time when funding for non-profit organization is being trimmed back on the state and federal levels.
"I feel like it grows every year," says Sarah Arp, Marketing Coordinator with CASI. "We do get big items -- furniture, tables, pictures frames, computers, TVs -- which helps out a lot.">
All the sales from the event go right back to CASI, which provides exercising as well as health/wellness classes, plus support groups and advocates for seniors in order to help them live independently for as long as possible.
