Authorities are hoping for the public's help to try and track down seven firearms stolen from a rural gun store near Orion, Illinois.

Thieves broke into L and L Arms on Highway 150 on Tuesday morning, using a crowbar to pry the front door open.

Sheriff Jim Padilla says the guns taken include  an AK-47 and AR-15 type rifle.

"My fear is as a law enforcement officer these guns are going to get in the wrong hands," Padilla said. "I mean, let's face it, we don't have gang members who walk into a shop with a FOID card and ask for firearms and that is my fear, that the guns are going to end up on the street."

The video shows two suspects with their faces covered entering the store, one with a crowbar in his hand. One is wearing a Dale Ernhardt Jr. jacket with an 8 on the front. The two left in a mini-van or SUV type car.
