Rising water on the Mississippi River has forced crews to close a stretch of River Drive in Moline.
The closure was announced Friday morning, June 28, 2013.
River Drive is closed from 23rd Street to 55th Street, effective immediately and until further notice.
The detour for motorists is Illinois Route 92.
Davenport authorities closed River Drive in their city earlier in the week, also because of flooding.
