Repair crews closed two lanes of IL 92 to work on a water main beneath the pavement in East Moline, Illinois.
Emergency repairs began Thursday morning, June 20, 2013.
IL 92, which is also 18th Avenue there, will remain open to traffic but only one lane will be available for each direction of travel at 12th Street.
City officials expect the lane restriction to cause delays, especially during times of peak traffic flow.
Motorists are advise to avoid 18th Avenue at 12th Street if possible.
Repairs on the water main and on the pavement were expected to be completed sometime Friday, June 21.
