3 hurt and 4 arrested after East Moline argument gets out of control

Police said three people were treated at an area hospital and four men face criminal charges after an argument between two groups of people escalated.

3 hurt and 4 arrested after East Moline argument gets out of control

Police said three people were treated at an area hospital and four men face criminal charges after an argument between two groups of people escalated.

Police said two groups of people got into an argument that became a physical fight around 3 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013.  The fight happened in an alley in the 1300 block of 18th Avenue in East Moline.

Three people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, including one person who suffered a knife wound to the torso.

Four local men in their thirties were charged in connection with the fight.

Gabriel Cardona,32, Daniel Cardona, 22 and Rene Cardona, 34, all of East Moline, were arrested for aggravated battery and mob action.  Gabriel and Rene Cardona were held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond each.  Daniel Cardona was also held in the Rock Island County Jail, and his bond was set at $150,000.

Salvador Murillo, 34, of Moline, was arrested on two counts of aggravated battery and one count of mob action.  He was held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
