Benefiting two local volunteer fire departments, a community ran together in a Rescue Run.
The course included challenges like mud pits runners had to crawl through, a drop tank filled with ice water for runners to jump into, "live wires" that shock runners as they pass, tall "fire walls," sometimes requiring some help to get up and over, and more.
The event took place on Hofmann Farms north of Aledo, Illinois.
Runners received a dry-fit T-shirt, a water bottle, a silicone wristband, a car sticker, and more for their efforts on the run.
