Young local business leaders were recognized by the Better Business Bureau.

On Thursday, April 25, 2013 the BBB held their 20th annual Integrity Awards ceremony which celebrates businesses and students of high integrity.

Three high school students, Sydney Kilcoin from Rockridge, Daphne Cornish from Davenport Central, and Jacob Kilburg from Northeast were recognized and all won awards and $2,500 scholarships.

“It’s not something that people are recognized for very much,” said Kilcoin. “It’s something that you show when people aren’t watching as well as when people are, so it’s nice to be recognized for it.”

Businesses that were recognized were the Center for Active Seniors, Guardian Family Care Inc., IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, Valley Construction Company, and Premier Bath & Kitchen Resurfacing.
