April showers will mean a make-up game in May for the Quad Cities River Bandits.
The River Bandits were forced to cancel their Home Opener on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 and will celebrate their first game at Modern Woodmen Park in 2013 on Friday, April 12th, 2013. The game starts at 7:00pm.
"A lot of it is determined by if it's safe to send our guys out," says Harold Craw, General Manager. "We have a lot of young prospects and unfortunately Mother Nature did not want to cooperate with us today so we're going to take another run at it tomorrow."
Fans who had tickets to the April 11th game can exchange them for tickets to any home game in 2013. The April 11th game has been rescheduled and will be part of a double header on May 11th, 2013.
Friday's game will include giveaways, prizes, and post-game fireworks, presented by WQAD-TV, WLLR-FM, and Eastern Iowa Toyota Dealers.
"I'm excited to watch the team play," says Craw. "I'm even more excited to see these guys and the young prospects we have play at Modern Woodmen Park."
