Whiteside County voted in favor of consolidating two schools.
The proposition asked voters if they wanted to combine East Coloma Elementary School in Whiteside County with Nelson Elementary School in Lee County.
The school district will have an elected Board of Education with the authority to levy taxes. 1.95-percent will be used for educational purposes, .30-percent for operations and maintenance, .20-percent for transportation, and .05-percent for working cash purposes.
The vote was 325 to 74 in favor of the consolidation.
