Voters in the city of Rock Island will decide their next mayor Tuesday.

As previously reported, three different candidates are running for mayor. Current Mayor Dennis Pauley is running for re-election. Former Candidate David Levin is running again, and long time business owner Rick Cassini is running as well.

Pauley has started running television ads in the past two weeks, touting his success at bringing development into the area. Pauley has pushed to get a Walmart in on 11th Street where construction is supposed to start this spring.

Cassini and Levin have raised big questions over the tax incentives given to developers to build that area. City council documents show the city will give Ehlers and Associates $39,000 in TIF funds to redevelop the Watchtower Plaza.
