The Rock Island City Council will review a $9 million development at its city council meeting Monday night.

The development will go up at the intersection of 11th Street and Blackhawk Road. The development will go up at the site of the old Michael's Trailer Home Park.

One month ago, the city announced that three new businesses are coming to the intersection. The Black Hawk College and State Farm Insurance buildings are moving from the Watchtower Plaza to the new development site to make way for Walmart.

Missman Inc. also announced that it will be building new offices at the intersection. Missman is the developer for the entire eight acre project.

There are expected to be four more businesses that come to Blackhawk Road, but the city has not released the names of the businesses. Construction on the Black Hawk College and State Farm buildings should be complete this fall.
