One lane of traffic closing on I-80

Crews will begin work on the I-80 bridge over the Mississippi River on Monday, April 8.

According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, traffic on westbound I-80 will go down to one lane for about a week.

Beginning on Monday, April 15, one lane of traffic on eastbound I-80 will be closed.

Interstate Maintenance will be completing a $136,997 contract for the annual washing of the bridge.
