Sam's Club has proposed some development changes to its lot just east of the new Menard's building on Moline's John Deere Road.
Moline city leaders may add some of their own stipulations to the changes. They'll discuss them at the Committee of the Whole meeting Tuesday night.
According to the city, Sam's Club has decided not to build the secondary east-west thoroughfare that connects the store to the Valley View Apartments. Moline's City Council would like for Sam's Club to consider building that access road in the future if the city deems it necessary.
Sam's Club has also proposed building a gas station for members only closer to John Deere Road. However, the city would like for Sam's Club to build that station further back, closer to 44th Avenue instead.
Construction could start as early as this spring. The city will likely not vote on the stipulations until its council meeting April 9th. Tuesday's Committee of the Whole meeting starts at 6:30 at Moline's City Hall.
