Local school plays Dodgeball for a dog

Students and teachers at Pleasant Valley High School participated in a dodgeball tournament to help others at their school.

Groups of students and teachers at Pleasant Valley High School participated in a dodgeball tournament to help others at their school.

With special needs students in mind, the tournament held on Thursday, was to raise funds for a therapy dog named Cherry.

The hope is for Cherry to be at the school with students to act as an aid. Cherry can help students by engaging with them, helping them learn life skills, and keeping everyone in a good mood.

The goal was to raise $3,000 to get Cherry at the school.

Pleasant Valley will have another tournament Friday, March 8, for elementary students.
