Westbound lanes of Interstate 80 were blocked near Durant, Iowa because of a crash.
Iowa transportation authorities reported the road closure just after 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Most roads in eastern Iowa were already snow-covered because of Tuesday’s winter storm. A tow ban was already in effect on I-80 in Scott and Cedar counties.
Several vehicles were reportedly involved in the wreck. Westbound lanes of I-80 were closed between exits 277 and 280 in Cedar County. The lanes were reopened just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
