It's still a little too cold outside to break out the Hawaiian shirt and sandals, but not for a certain group of musicians in the Quad Cities.

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2013, the Quad City Ukulele Club marked their one year anniversary with their first annual Uke-A-Pa-Looza concert at the River Music Experience in Davenport.

Members and listeners celebrated with two concerts along with workshops and ukulele trivia.

"It's fun," says Erin Mahr, Co-Founder of the Quad City Ukulele Club. "It sounds really happy. It can make any song sound cheerful. One of our standards is 'These boots are made for walking' and it doesn't sound quite as sassy. It sounds cheery."

Guests also got to walk away with temporary ukulele tattoos and a complimentary kazoo.
