Riverboat Development Authority President Mary Ellen Chamberlin says the Riverboat Development Authority will not vote at its board meeting Monday.

The board has scheduled its meeting for 5 p.m. at the River Music Experience in downtown Davenport. Chamberlin said the RDA had previously invited the DCIC---or the casino board---but it has since taken away that invite.

The RDA first has to vote on a casino license before the DCIC can apply to get their plans on the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission's agenda. However, IRGC Administrator Brian Ohorilko told us on the phone Friday the application process takes a couple "months" to do.

The DCIC can't start that application process until the RDA grants them a gaming license. The IRGC's next meeting after April 18th is June 6th. The IRGC may not be able to vote on the measure until then.

The Riverboat Development Authority has not set up a meeting after the one on Monday. The RDA will talk about the IRGC's March 7th agenda this Monday, but the city does not have an item on the IRGC agenda.

Meanwhile, the city is still in negotiations with Ingenus Management to build a casino on the I-280/ I-80 corridor in Northwest Davenport. It is also looking at building a boutique casino still in the downtown area.
