Alleged car thief crashes through store window

An alleged car thief didn’t get very far when the owner of the vehicle tried to stop it from being stolen.

The vehicle owner was reportedly putting air in the tires at the BP gas station, at the corner of 16th Street and Avenue of the Cities in Moline, Illinois, when someone tried to drive away in his car. 

When the vehicle owner tried to stop the theft, the car crashed through the front window of the store.

The store and the vehicle sustained heavy damage. 

No injuries were reported.
