A Dixon man has is facing a murder charge in connection with his wife’s strangulation death.
The body of Yolanda Sigler, 34, was found in the couple’s home at 230 Lincolnway at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013.
The medical examiner later determined Yolanda had been strangled.
Her husband, 34-year-old Brian Sigler, suffered multiple self-inflicted stab wounds. Police said he was released from the hospital Monday, January 21, 2013.
Brian Sigler was charged with one count of first-degree murder in connection with Yolanda Sigler’s death. Brian Sigler was arrested at 10:30 a.m. January 21.
Brian Sigler was held in the Lee County Jail where he was awaiting determination of his bond amount.
