An SUV crashed through the laundromat at a Davenport convenience store.

The wreck happened Sunday evening, January 6, 2012 at the Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard BP station, at the intersection of Hickory Grove Road and Fairmount in west Davenport, Iowa.

An eyewitness said they heard the vehicle engine revving just before it careened through the glass.

Initially, no injuries were reported.  The day after the crash, police say a patron inside the business at the time of the crash received minor injuries.  The driver of the SUV involved was not hurt.

The driver, 37-year-old Lauro Alcaide-Ramirez of Davenport, Iowa, was charged with operating a vehicle with no driver’s license and operating without insurance.
