A Sabula, Iowa couple lost their granddaughter in the shootings that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.
KCRG reports Tom and Judy Hensel’s granddaughter, Avielle Richman, was one of the children killed when a gunman opened fire at the school Friday, December 14, 2012.
Avielle was six years old.
The Hensel’s daughter, Jennifer Richman, grew up in Sabula and graduated from East Central High School in 1984. Jennifer and her family moved From San Diego to Connecticut last year.
Jennifer’s high school classmates have established a memorial account in Avielle’s memory. Contributions can be made to the fund at:
