A Facebook page dedicated to mourning the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims was started hours after the shooting.
By 4:30 p.m. Central time Friday, December 14, 2012, more than 1,600 people had “liked” the page to follow posts left there.
One post made it clear the page was a place for mourning the victims and nothing else.
“This is not a place for political comments, or hate, it is a page of love for the children and staff members lost. If you feel you have to rant, please find another page while the nation and the community and friends and families try to heal,” the post said.
