Bidding closes at the end of the week for the auction of some items belonging to former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell.

Bidding on items at Crundwell’s Englewood, Florida home opens December 5 and closes at 5 p.m. Central time Friday, December 7, 2012.  Household furniture and appliances are among the items listed in the auction.

Bidding on items at her Dixon, Illinois home opens December 6 and closes at 1 p.m. Central time Saturday, December 8.   Items in the auction include appliances, electronics, livestock and farm equipment, household items and furniture.

The auction is held online, so there is no preview of items available to bidders.   Buyers are required to submit a $100 deposit in order to submit bids, and buyers must arrange shipping for all items purchased.

The auctions are part of the USA v. Rita A. Crundwell case, in which Crundwell is accused of using her position as Dixon’s comptroller to steal more than $50 million from the city’s accounts.
