A 12-year-old boy died after the pickup truck he was driving crashed Thursday, November 30, 2012.
KJAN reported the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on 290th Street near Swift Avenue in Audubon County, in western Iowa.
Austin Lane Vais of Exira, Iowa was ejected when the Ford F-150 he was driving swerved, slid sideways into a ditch and overturned.
Austin was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said Austin was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
