Train enthusiasts get together this time every year to show off their unique creations but this year might be the last for them.

They were excited to check out The Midwest Trains Model Railroad Club’s open house for the first time.
“I had no idea we had something like this in the quad cities. This is just something special,” says Kakavas.
However, these trains might not be on display anymore. Iowa Department of Transportation bought the building for demolition, to prepare for the I-74 bridge project.
"The road is going go right through this building unfortunately, so we're going to have to move this somewhere hopefully,” says the club’s president, Michael Oziemkowski.
The display, built by club members, wanted to display railroads from the 50’s and 60’s. While the members have fun building it’s the people’s reaction that they enjoy the most.
"It's one of my favorite things to do is open this up to the people. I love the looks on their faces when they walk in here and see it,” says Oziemkowski.
Even though the club’s future is uncertain, they say they’re looking forward to it, "It's sad in a way but we're modelers. It will be a challenge, we will love to start over again, make it all new. It will be a lot of fun,” says Oziekowski.
