Updated:  A Clinton man was released from a local hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound.

Police said the 21-year-old man was in the 2500 block of Garfield Street in Clinton, Iowa when he was shot just after 7:30 p.m.

The victim did not give a suspect description to police.

Clinton Police Thursday night say one man is hospitalized after being shot just before 8:00 p.m.

Investigators say the 21-year-old was shot near 2507 Garfield Street in Clinton.

The victim is currently in the hospital. There is no update on his condition and no word from police on the search for any suspects.
