Detectives were questioning a babysitter after two children in her care were found dead in a Naperville, Illinois home.

The gruesome discovery was made Tuesday night, October 30, 2012 after police were called to check the welfare of the people in the home just after 10 p.m.

Two dogs were also found dead in the home.

The babysitter is reportedly the mother of one of the children.  The other child’s mother was on duty as an overnight nurse.

The children, ages five and eight, were apparently stabbed.

The babysitter was taken into police custody.  Investigators had not formally identified her as a suspect, but said there was no other suspect at large.
