Eastern Iowa investigators are still trying to catch the person who shot and killed a teen over the weekend.

Dubuque Police said two teens were shot around midnight Sunday, October 22, 2012 in an area north of downtown Dubuque.

Marlon Barber Jr., 15, died during surgery after he was taken to an area hospital.

Demarcus Timmons, 16, was expected to recover from his wounds.

Police say it appears both victims were with a group of friends when they ran into another group.  That’s when the shooting reportedly happened.

Police had not yet made any arrests or named any suspects.
