The 2012 Toys for Tots Campaign is (un)officially underway in the Quad Cities.

Hundreds of motorcyclists, including Santa Claus, gathered in Davenport on Sunday, October 7th for the 28th Annual Toys for Tots Fun Run.

Participants bought toys, strapped them onto their motorcycles, then rode through Davenport and dropped the items off in front of Hobby Lobby.

"Toys for Tots has always been important to us in our organization," says Jeff Hoker, a Member of ABATE of Iowa. "We always try to do what we can for the community and especially for kids."

Last year, Toys for Tots supported nearly 4,000 families and close to 9,000 children in our area. You can find more information on the program here.
