A branch of the Valley Bank was robbed during the noon hour Friday, September 14, 2012.

Police said a man handed a note to a teller at the bank branch inside the HyVee Store at 2900 Devils Glen Road just after 12:30 p.m.  Police said the man did not display a weapon but one “was inferred in the note.”

The man got an undisclosed amount of money in the alleged robbery.

Police said the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction.  He was described as in his twenties or thirties, 5-foot 10-inches tall, with strawberry blond stubble facial hair and a gap in his front teeth.  He was wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt over a long-sleeved collared black shirt, a maroon-colored cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect should call 911.
