Morthland injured in farm accident

Illinois State Representative Rich Morthland was injured in an accident on his Cordova farm Thursday, August 30, 2012.

A member of his staff confirmed Morthland was pushed by a cow. 

A statement from his office said his injuries are not life-threatening.

“He will undergo knee surgery this afternoon and stay in the hospital overnight,” the statement said.  He is expected to make a full recovery.

Morthland’s office will remain open as he recovers.
