Road work could slow traffic on U.S. Highway 67 at 176th Avenue south of Milan, Illinois starting Monday, July 16, 2012.
Contractors will install flashing lighted beacons above the “stop” and “stop ahead” signs at the intersection. They will also install rumble strips in the pavement approaching the intersection.
The intersection is about a mile north of the Rock Island-Mercer county line.
Flaggers will direct traffic and delays are possible.
The project is expected to take about a week to complete.
