Police said they found items stolen in a burglary at two homes within a block of the victim house.

Police were called to a reported burglary at a residence in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue in Sterling, Illinois just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012.   Several items were reportedly stolen.

Police said they found some of the stolen items in a home on the same block.  That’s when they arrested Eric McClain, 33, and Amanda Young, 23, both of Sterling.

Police searched a second home in the 600 block of East Second Street, where they reportedly found the remaining stolen items.  Two juvenile boys were arrested there.

McClain and Young were each charged with felony theft.  Young was also charged with felony residential burglary. Both were held in the Whiteside County Jail.

Police said the two juvenile boys were arrested for residential burglary and theft.  They were held at the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention home in Galesburg, Illinois.
