Police say they arrested a 15-year-old and were searching for a 16-year-old in connection with burglaries of at least 12 vehicles in Buffalo, Iowa.

Police were sent to the area of the 300 block of Fourth Street just after 2:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 after someone reported a vehicle burglary in progress.

Two teens allegedly ran when police arrived.

Police said a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with five counts of felony third-degree burglary plus one count of interference with officials acts for trying to run from police.

Police said a 16-year-old boy also fled and was not immediately apprehended.  Charges were pending against that teen.

Twelve vehicles were reportedly burglarized, and the investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Buffalo Police at (563) 381-4733.
