Drought hurting local landscaping business

The calm winter and now extremely dry summer have been hard on local landscaping businesses.

Bill Gordon from Kymbyl Komplete Kare, Inc says their business is down 75% this summer.   After a slow winter, it is a double whammy for his business.

“Normally we are used to 11-13 snowfalls, last winter we had 4 measurable snowfalls,” Gordon says.  “As we are coming out the other side here [this summer] we are once again with no income.”

Due to the lack of rain, the lawns are not growing and have caused the company to have to lay off two workers this summer.

Gordon says, “Just like the farmers need it for their crops, we need rain desperately.”
