A Davenport woman hopes to be crowned a champion this weekend at the CrossFit Games in southern California. The competition will be name the winner the "Fittest Woman on Earth".
Amy Ruggeberg is currently ranked 13th in the world. She earned the ranking by performing CrossFit workouts that combine Olympic-style lifting with cardio. She aims to complete the most repetitions of each exercise during a fixed time period.
Amy says she started CrossFit more than two years ago, when a friend introduced her to the sport. She calls it addicting, and she now does two workout sessions a day.
The games will be held this weekend and will be televised on ESPN 3.
