Update: Milan Boil Order lifted

Update: According to Kevin Farrell, the Milan Water- Sewer Superintendent, the boil order affecting some areas of Milan has been lifted.

A water main break resulted in a boil water order issued for parts of Milan, Illinois.

The order was issued at about noon Monday, July 9, 2012.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to boil water for five minutes prior to using that water for drinking and cooking. 

The areas included in the boil order are along West 12th Avenue from First to Seventh Street, along Fourth Street from 12th Avenue through Blackhawk Avenue and any residences north of Tenth Avenue.
