One man is in custody after a standoff in Camanche.
The standoff happened around the 3900 block on 9th street in Camanche, Iowa. Late this afternoon, officials responded to a call of a domestic dispute that ended with one man arrested.
Authorities’ responded to a call after a woman received non-life threatening injuries in a domestic dispute. That's when officials say the suspect barricaded himself in a house with a knife and threatened to hurt himself and others.
After several hours, the man was taken in to custody for a mental evaluation.
The male suspect was reportedly in the house alone at the time of the standoff.
No names of either the victim or the suspect have been released.
