Woman reports being grabbed on bike path

A woman out for a jog was reportedly grabbed as she ran on a bike path in Dixon, Illinois.

Police said it happened Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at about 10: 30 a.m. on the bike path just east of Washington Avenue. 

The victim said after it happened, the suspect walked north toward the housing project on Washington Avenue.

The suspect is approximately 28 years of age and weighs about 180 pounds.  He has short, black hair and wore black jeans, a light-colored t-shirt and black-rimmed glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dixon Police at (815) 288-4411, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department at (815) 284-6631 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-228-4488.  Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
