A 21-year-old swimmer from Moline, Illinois qualified for the Olympic swimming trial in the 200 backstroke.

Alexa Harris, who graduated from Moline High School, made the Olympic Trial cut when she swam a time of 2:17:62 in the 200-meter backstroke June 17, 2012 at Mizzou Aquatic Center at the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri.

Alexa is an early childhood major and collegiate swimmer at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.  Alexa swims locally for Lane Four Aquatics in Bettendorf, Iowa under head coach Demian Werner.

Alexa and Werner will attend the Olympic Swimming Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska at the end of June.
