Remembering Pearson
DES MOINES, Iowa - Tributes are coming in for WHO Radio farm journalist and Iowa Public TV "Market to Market" host Mark Pearson.
His co-hosts talked about him yesterday on WHO'S "The Big Show" after he passed away at his home last weekend after suffering a heart attack.
Both Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack called Pearson a passionate voice for Iowa agriculture.
"He was passionate about what we did," Vilsack told WHO-TV.
"He enjoyed what he did. he had fun at it. It wasn't just a job. It was a part of life and it was who he was."
Pearson's nationally televised "Market to Market" program aired on Iowa Public Television to 20 states.
