Two lanes of River Drive will be closed from the Davenport-Bettendorf city line to just west of Forest Road all week.
Crews are working to connect a new sanitary sewer line in that area.
Traffic will be reduced to one open lane in each direction on River Drive, sharing the lanes usually dedicated to eastbound travel.
The work is expected to take five days to complete, and all lanes are expected to reopen by Friday, May 11.
