Police say they found items stolen in a recent string of home burglaries during a routine traffic stop in East Moline.

Investigators from East Moline, Moline and Rock Island worked together to solve the crimes.  Their investigation led to several search warrants which helped them locate stolen property.

East Moline Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation Monday, April 30, 2012.

“During this traffic stop, additional stolen property from these residential burglaries was located inside the vehicle,” said a statement from East Moline Police.

The driver, 19-year-old Drew Buckholz, and his passenger, 18-year-old Beatriz Ayala, were arrested.

Police said that led them to obtain additional search warrants and to find more stolen property.  Armando Martinez and Raymond Berry, both 19 years of age, were also arrested.
