Davenport city leaders want to take something old and turn it into something new.
In their effort to revive the riverfront, Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba will hold a press conference at 10am on Monday, April 16th, 2012 to announce a marketing initiative to re-open and re-develop The Dock.
The Dock has been around for decades, but floods and a fire eventually shut it down in 2003. The city, through its Levee Improvement Commission, put up a "For Lease" sign on the old riverfront restaurant in March and is currently looking for qualified developers.
