A second eaglet hatched at the nest at Alcoa’s Davenport Works Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

Eaglets began hatching at the nest at Alcoa Monday, March 19, 2012.

The first eaglet was nearly out of the egg just before 8:30 a.m. and the other two were expected to hatch within a couple of days.

The parent eagles, Liberty and Justice, have used the same nest for three years.

Alcoa has streamed live video of the nest activity for two years.  A company spokesman said the “EagleCam” is a success.

“We are proud to share this natural wonder around the globe,” Alcoa community relations manager John Riches said. “We believe it is a testament to the work our employees have done to reduce air emissions and water use dramatically during the past couple of decades.”
