Police said two children out for a bike ride found a human skullin a ditch in Henry County, Iowa.
The discovery was reported just after 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Police said two kids riding bikes along Old Highway 34 from Lockridge to Rome, Iowa saw a white object in the ditch between the road and the railroad tracks.
When they took a closer look, the children discovered the object was a human skull. The children immediately told their parents what they had found.
Police searched the area and found more human skeletal remains.
DNA analysis was planned as police try to identify the remains.
