Kory Kuffler is excited to be a member of the WQAD Sports Team. He has been working in broadcasting since 1997. His first job was in St. Louis, at a cable station where he covered a variety of sports from the high school to professional level. Kory moved back to the Quad Cities in 2000 where he continued his sports career at KWQC for ten years.

Kory grew up in Moline, Illinois and graduated from Moline High School. He attended Southern Illinois Edwardsville where he earned a Bachelor of Science, with a focus in broadcast communications.

Kory is married to his wonderful wife Lisa and they have three children.

In his spare time Kory enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. You may also find him playing softball, golf or some other sport like Tae Kwon Do where he has earned a black belt. Kory is also very involved with his church and knows that everything that he has accomplished in life is only because God has provided for him and his family.

    Moline alum Matt Brill is playing his first season in the Midwest League with the Kane County Cougars.  Brill is coming out of the bullpen and is ready to help the Cougars in any way he can.

    Conditions were less than ideal for track athletes from Iowa and Illinois as they compete in the 25th annual Assumption Track Invitational. Sterling was the highest placing girls team.  Easton Valley finished the best for local boys teams.

  • Kevin Mckee returns to QC with two Gold Medals

    Davenport native Kevin McKee is back in the Quad Cities after winning his second gold medal at the Paralympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.  McKee and his USA team mates won the Gold Medal In Sled Hockey for the second straight Paralympics.  Kevin was at Public House to meet with his family, friends and fans.

  • The Score Sunday features Bandits and LumberKings Baseball, QC Rush Soccer, FCA

    The Score Sunday takes a look at the upcoming baseball season with General Manager Andrew Chesser from the River Bandits and Ted Tornow from the LumberKings. Moline United Soccer has joined with Rush Soccer to change the landscape of the sport in the QC.  Then the FCA story of the week features Iowa State Men’s Basketball Coach Steve Prohm.

  • Track Athletes run against each other and the weather at Shipley Invite

    It was another cold and windy day at the Shipley Track Invite.  Moline held a moment of silence at the meet for Gene Shipley who recently passed away and long time IHSA Track Official Chuck Austin.  United Township wins the boys title, Harlem was first for the girls.

  • Drake hires new Men’s Basketball Coach

    It took Drake University a week to find their next Men’s Basketball Coach. Darian DeVries takes over the Bulldogs program after 20 years at Creighton.  Devries was an assistant for 17 years for the Bluejays.  This will be DeVries first head coaching job.

  • Rock Island, Moline Special Olympic teams have big game at Wharton Fieldhouse

    Rock Island and Moline Special Olympics Basketball Teams play against each other at Wharton Fieldhouse on March 22, 2018 .  This game was part of their “March Madness” which was a fundraiser for the Moline Special Olympics Team.  This is the first year for the Rock Island Special Olympics Team.  The players in this game have more fun cheering on each other and having fun than they do worrying about who is winning.

  • Sterling and Geneseo both accept invitation to join the Western Big 6

    The Geneseo school board has accepted an invitation to join the Western Big 6.

  • Nolan Ebel earns All-American Staus

    Augustana Junior Guard Nolan Ebel has been named to the All-American team.  Ebel helped guide the Vikings to their 4th straight Elite 8 appearance.

  • Alleman sweeps Orion on a cold day for Baseball

    Alleman host Orion on a cold Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers take game one by a score of 6-4.  Then in game 2 Alleman wins 10-0 to make it a sweep.
