Kory Kuffler is excited to be a member of the WQAD Sports Team. He has been working in broadcasting since 1997. His first job was in St. Louis, at a cable station where he covered a variety of sports from the high school to professional level. Kory moved back to the Quad Cities in 2000 where he continued his sports career at KWQC for ten years.

Kory grew up in Moline, Illinois and graduated from Moline High School. He attended Southern Illinois Edwardsville where he earned a Bachelor of Science, with a focus in broadcast communications.

Kory is married to his wonderful wife Lisa and they have three children.

In his spare time Kory enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. You may also find him playing softball, golf or some other sport like Tae Kwon Do where he has earned a black belt. Kory is also very involved with his church and knows that everything that he has accomplished in life is only because God has provided for him and his family.

  • Alleman Softball celebrate state championship

  • Alleman softball primed for repeat

    Alleman softball only started two seniors this season on their way to a 6th State Championship. Now the Juniors are looking to next season knowing they will have a great chance to make another strong run next season.

  • Alleman ready to play at state

    The alleman Pioneers Softball team is heading back to the state tournament for the 15th time in school history.  It will be the first trip with head coach Mike Ebner.  Many within the Alleman program thought it would be a rebuilding year fro the young Pioneers , but they have proven themselves and everyone else wrong.  Now Alleman has their sights set on bringing home the top prize at the 2A State Tournament.

  • Assumption wants shot to defend championship

    Three time defending 1A soccer champs Assumption would love nothing more than to get a shot to defend their title.  The Lady Knights are just two wins away from making a return trip to the state tournament in Des Moines.  Assumption will take the same approach they have to every game this season in hopes that they will be able to play for their 4-straight state championship.

  • The Score Sunday – Central DeWitt soccer makes history

    For the first time in school history the Central DeWitt soccer team will be playing in the state tournament. The Sabers advanced to state after beating Assumption in the substate final 3-2 in overtime. For the first time since 2006 the Sherrard baseball team is playing in a super-sectional contest.   • Alleman softball in elite 8

    Alleman softball is one of the final 8 teams in the state playing in class 2A.  Alleman beat Stillman Valley in the sectional championship to earn the trip to super-sectionals.  Alleman will play Brimfield at Northern Illinois with a trip to the state tournament on the line.

  • Sterling wins third straight regional title

    The Sterling Golden Warriors softball team wins another regional championship over rival Rock Falls.  Sterling scored 6-runs in the first 5 innings. Then their pitcher Lexy Staples does the rest from the circle. Staple strikes out 11-batters as the Golden Warriors moved on to sectionals with a 6-1 win.

  • Central DeWitt soccer makes history

    For the first time in school history the Central DeWitt Sabers will be playing in the state tournament in Des Moines.  DeWitt would come from behind with a goal in the 65 minute, a penalty kick goal from Keegan Lass.  The game would go to overtime tied at 2.  In the overtime, the Sabers get the game winner from Lass on a restart.   • Alleman uses big inning to win Regional Title

    In a back and forth game Geneseo tied the game with a Rayce Singbush single.  Alleman’s bats would come alive in the 6th, Jonah Saganglao ripped a double scoring Kevin O’Keeffe and Miguel Sierra.  Pioneers scored 6 runs in the inning to take a 9-2 lead.  Alleman would advance to the sectionals with that 9-2 score.

  • Sherrard baseball wins Sectional Championship

    Sherrard fell behind in their Sectional Championship game but bounced back quickly.  The Tigers answered with two runs in second off a Blake Lampo single.  Sherrard would squeeze in another run in the fourth.  Sherrard held on to win 5-3. Tigers advanced to the Super-sectional championship with the win.

  • Geneseo pitcher throws 1-hitter to win regional title

    Geneseo scored a run in the bottom of the third, when Maddy Shoemaker smacked a solo home run to centerfield.  The Maple leafs added 2-more runs in the third with singles from Darian Gillette and Rachel Varland.  That 3-nothing lead was more than enough for Geneseo pitcher Jenna Reddig, who tossed a 1-hit shutout.

  • Late inning homerun leads Alleman to softball win

    After 4-scoreless innings, Alleman broke the tie with 2-runs in the top of the 5th. Stillman Valley answered with a pair of runs on a 2-run home run from Ali Green.  The game stayed tied until the 7th, that’s when Abby Thompson hit a 2-run home run to left giving Alleman a lead they would not let go.  Alleman advanced to the super-sectional with a 4-2 win.
