Greg Armstrong joined WQAD in June 2014, but he has been covering sports and news in the Quad City area since 2005, working for KWQC.

Greg grew up just a short drive east on Interstate 80, in Ottawa, IL. He has always had an interest in sports, but developed a true passion for covering local high school athletics right here in the QCA. Big or small, near or far, Greg loves traveling to high schools around the area to put local athletes center stage!

Greg studied broadcast journalism at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where he anchored and reported for WSIU- TV. He was also the play-by-play voice of the Saluki Women’s Softball team.

Greg, and his wife Becca have made their home in Davenport with their 2 children. When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with his family, seeing live music, and rooting on the White Sox!
