    Two Rock Island men have been arrested in connection to recent stick-ups at the 11th Street Mart in Rock Island. LaVontrell Latae Lewis and Michael Andrew Phillips, both of 1830 11th Street have been charged each with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated robbery.     Thousands of pounds of drugs collected during take back event

    Authorities say Iowans disposed of over two tons of unused medicines last month. The one-day prescription drug take-back event was held Saturday, September 29th. Across the state people safely got rid of almost 4,400 pounds of drugs at 40 collection sites. Authorities say that included prescription and controlled substances. Nationally, the US Drug Enforcement Administration says about 488,000 pounds of unused medicines were collected. Thanks to our sister station WHO-TV for this report
