The Scott County Sheriff's office has identified the drivers involved in the March 13 crash in Buffalo, Iowa. The driver of the 2005 Mercury Mariner was Tevin Meier. He was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital. His injuries are still unknown at this time.

The driver of the Dump Truck, which is owned by Brus Construction LLC, of Blue Grass, Iowa, was Jeffery Wilson. He was treated and released at the scene.

The crash is still being investigated.

BUFFALO, Iowa -- An SUV crossed the double yellow center lane divider and crashed into a dump truck on Highway 22 (also known as Front Street) in Buffalo on the morning of Tuesday, March 13, according to the Scott County Sheriff's Department.

A 19-year-old man from Davenport was driving west on the highway in a Mercury Mariner when he crossed all four lanes of traffic and struck the dump truck, which was traveling east, head on. The truck was driven by a 58-year-old man from Blue Grass.

The driver of the Mercury had to be extracted from the vehicle and airlifted by  Medforce to an Iowa City hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the dump truck was treated and released on the scene.

The road has now reopened to traffic after being closed immediately following the accident shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
